Paint & Sip Workshop - 2
The Mitchell on Maranoa Gallery had its second Paint & Sip Workshop in March, Friday 17th. It was a great night, everyone had a smile on their faces and a brush in hand, painting a beautiful beach scenery. The night was led by the talented Keera Hopper a local primary school teacher from the Mitchell State School. This was also Keera’s first time instructing an art workshop, her teacher skills definitely came in handy. She did a wonderful job and was able to give guided steps to create such a stunning piece of artwork.
Congratulations to the lucky winners for the night, Colleen Dunne – Raffle Prize Winner and Hekoi Helen – Lucky Door Prize Winner. Thank you, Mitchell Pharmacy, again for your generous donations.
Thank you to ALT.Skills for supplying the grazing boxes. Always a treat to be able to sip, paint and enjoy some delicious food.

"Ocean Blues" by Keera Hopper
This stunning painting titled "Ocean Blues", was the inspiration for the Paint & Sip Workshop 2. Created by local primary school teacher and the amazing instructor for the night, Keera Hopper. Such a peaceful piece, the detail within the ocean waves given the sensation of movement. If you look at painting long enough, you can hear the ocean!
This exhibition is a three-part collection of unique artworks created by the people of Mitchell.
These stunning paintings are interpretations of Kerra Hopper's, ocean landscape titled “Ocean Blues”.
