Art for Art's Sake Exhibition
The Art for Art’s Sake Exhibition gives people with a disability or mental illness the opportunity to dream and achieve recognition for their art as expression of themselves. We challenge the community to share the dreams and walk beside those who experience adversity, building an inclusive world where all people are valued for who they are and the contributions they make to all communities. The mission of Art for Art’s Sake is to enable people with disabilities or mental illness to experience the positive impact that art can have on the lives of all people – let’s work together to build a bridge for us all to share the dreams through Art for Art’s Sake.
The 'Art for Art's Sake' Exhibition opening was the 22nd of July at 3pm. It was a wonderful afternoon spent enjoying some nibbles and coffee in the courtyard, before a walk through the gallery to admire the amazing display of artworks. The exhibition was officially opened by Tilly Butler-Woodall a coordinator of the exhibition and CEO of ALT.Skills. She gave an inspiring speech about the importance of appreciating people in our community who live with a disability or mental illness and the contributions they make in our community. Allowing people to have opportunities likes the arts to express themselves and have a voice, a chance to dream.

Best of Show
A stunning piece created by this artist. You can almost feel as though you are there standing in the rain, feeling the cool weather. Excellent eye for detail. It's as though it's been photographed. A well-deserved achievement. - Judges Comments

Dream Wall
Embarking on a journey of collective creativity, featured at the Art for Art's Sake Exhibition was a Dream wall, where individuals could openly share their dreams.
Dreams are like anchors that keep us on our path in life. Dreams live in our heads and in our imaginations. We experience them through thoughts and images in our minds or through emotions and desires. We talk about them, write about them, share them through our art and then we bring them alive.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors were invited to express their dreams on clouds using vibrant pen. Whether it was a single dream or a multitude, each cloud became a unique piece of the collective vision as it grew each day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these shared celebrations of dreams, transforming the gallery into a space where imaginations took flight.
